About Morgan Dhanowa

Morgan Dhanowa CHt, RCCH, B.Sc.N.

I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. Prior to working with clients using Hypnotherapy, I  worked in Public Health in Greater Victoria. For almost twenty years I worked with clients as a Public Health Nurse. I have worked with many clients who made positive changes in their lives, and that was inspiring. I have also worked with  many clients who have had complex issues that were compounded by their feelings of low self-esteem, depression and frustration. Many of the latter clients felt trapped by their circumstance, and providing additional resources and referrals didn’t always help, as this didn’t address the beliefs and behavioural patterns the clients were replaying. I felt great compassion towards these clients as I saw how hard they struggled.

Then when on a break, I came across information on the topic of Hypnosis and it’s therapeutic uses. I became fascinated by the subject and wondered how something so simple could make such a profound difference in people’s life’s.   I was compelled to investigate more, and I arranged to meet with a well know Hypnotherapist and Educator to discuss hypnotherapy and experience it for myself. I was amazed by the process and became  determined to learn more. I enrolled in a recognized Hypnotherapy program that would prepare me to write both the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy (IMDHA) exam, and the Association of Clinical Hypnotherapists Canada (ARCH) exam. Since I initially took this training I have also taken an extra year of specific counselling courses to qualify for the ARCH designation of Registered Clinical Counselling-Hypnotherapist. I felt these skills built on the counselling skills I acquired during my Nursing Career. I am also interested in Spiritual Regression Hypnotherapy. I have taken Past Life Regression Therapy training at the Weiss Institute, and I have also trained in Life Between Hypnotherapy with the Newton Institute.

I feel the experience and skills that I developed as a nurse over the last two decades have provided  a  firm foundation for my Hypnotherapy practice. I am excited to offer these skills to my clients, many who have felt trapped by past issues and  repetitive patterns of behaviour.  My enthusiasm  increased as  I saw how  many clients  were  excited and eager to describe the positive changes they were experiencing,  often after their very first session.  It is very rewarding to see clients conquer issues which in some cases had been plaguing them for years.

If you are struggling and unable to deal with a fear or phobia, have challenges losing weight, or addressing other challenges in your life, Hypnotherapy may be just what you are looking for.  I would be pleased to meet with you and discuss how Hypnotherapy can help you reach your goals.
